Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commanding general and chief of engineers, stops by the San San Juan Recovery Field Office in Puerto Rico on Dec. 21, 2017. Semonite took the opportunity to thank personnel working away from home during the holidays, and recognize their work undertaking a massive recovery effort in the wake of hurricane Maria. “We knew it’d be a tough job,” Semonite said. “That’s why they asked the Corps of Engineers to do it.”
