U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Matthew Phillips, an airborne vehicle maintenance craftsman from the 820th RED HORSE Squadron's airborne flight uses a radio to relay wind speed and direction to the aircrew of a C-17 Globemaster III before a training jump at Alamo, Nev., May 12. The 414th Combat Search and Rescue Squadron conducted the training and certified 3 RED HORSE airmen as drop zone control officers, enabling the RED HORSE airmen to perform jump missions and operate their own drop zones.
