U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpls. Daniel Baker, left, and Cai Gutman, aircrew trainees with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152, refuel a CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462 via a KC-130J Hercules during an air-delivered ground refueling (ADGR) training iteration at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 7, 2017, as part of El Centro Horizon. ADGRs allow aircraft to refuel quickly in austere locations and eliminate the need to set up forward refueling points, which saves time and allows for fast responses in real world missions. Conducting ADGRs is one of many exercises that VMGR-152 now has the opportunity to conduct as a result of El Centro Horizon and the possibilities afforded within that training environment.
