A KC-130J Hercules aircraft with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152 refuels a UH-1Y Venom helicopter with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 773 during air-delivered ground refueling training at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 7, 2017, as part of El Centro Horizon. Air-delivered ground refueling allow aircraft to refuel quickly in austere locations and eliminate the need to set up forward refueling points, which saves time and allows for fast responses in real world missions. Conducting ADGRs is one of many exercises that VMGR-152 now has the opportunity to conduct as a result of El Centro Horizon and the possibilities afforded within that training environment.
