Cmdr. Thomas K. Barlow, a dermatology specialist (left), and Commander Carlos Marco, Manaus Naval Polyclinic Director (2nd from left), performed the operation to remove a growth from the elderly woman’s finger. Hogan and Barlow are members of a team of five U.S. Navy doctors who are engaging in a month-long humanitarian mission up the Amazon River.
