U.S. Navy Construction Mechanic 1st Class John Monahan, a Seabee assigned to Construction Diving Detachment Charlie (CDDC), Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, teaches the most efficient way to tie a branch line of detonation cord on November 7, 2017 at Ft. Hunter Liggett. UCT 2 trains in special explosive demolition for underwater clearance, salvage, and construction operations. CDDB and CDDC are preparing for a six month deployment where they will be conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
