Christopher Kearney, an aviation ordnance system technician with Marine Corps Aircraft Group 12, marches in modern day Dress Blue Alphas during a birthday pageant ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Nov. 9, 2017. U.S. Marines and Sailors from around the air station came together to watch and participate in a pageant that featured uniforms from different eras throughout the Marine Corps’ 200 plus year history. The Marine Corps birthday is a time to reflect on the values and traditions that bind Marines together, while looking forward as the Corps continues to progress into a new era.
