    120th Public Affairs Detachment

    Indiana Army National Guard Spc. Jacob Sims of Washington, Ind., a supply clerk in Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment headquartered in Jasper, Ind., works through the night filling sandbags at the Indiana Department of Transportation branch in Vincennes, Ind., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 during the National Guard’s response to flooding in the area. The soldiers alternate working six hour shifts 24/7 to fill an order of 100,000 sandbags needed for flooding in the area. Approximately 250 soldiers were mobilized to state active duty in response to the flooding in Gibson, Knox, Daviess and Posey counties due to near record numbers of rainfall. Soldiers are assisting in sandbagging operations, transporting displaced civilians to shelters, search and rescue missions, debris removal and damage assessment.
