POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Participants discuss the risk mitigation factors for the baseline risk levels identified the previous day during the Hudson River Ports and Waterways Safety Assessment (PAWSA) Workshop at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, Nov. 8, 2017. More than 40 participants and 12 observers took part in discussions during the two-day Workshop about the Hudson River identifying various risks on the waterway and risk mitigation factors. The PAWSA is a long-standing process that will help improve the Coast Guard’s and connected stakeholders’ understanding of the safety and environmental risks on the Hudson River.
