SAN ANTONIO – (Nov. 3, 2017) Killeen, Texas native, Interior Communications 1st Class John Torres monitors Jonathon Buerger, a senior attending Media Valley High School during the pull-up challenge sponsored by America’s Navy at the 2017 Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Air Show and Open House aboard JBSA-Lackland Kelly Field Annex. Buerger, who completed 25 pull-ups, was amongst 3,200 high school students attending the pre-day rehearsals of the air show and visiting the Navy’s virtual reality experience, the “Nimitz”. Torres, a Navy recruiter assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Mercado, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio, is a 2000 graduate of Killeen High School.
