Pfc. Justin Bryant, from Greenwood, Ind., with 139th Forward Support Company, of the 2nd Battalion, 150th Field Artillery, uses a fallen log to cross a stream during the night navigation event of the Soldier of the Year competition held at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Ind., April 18. The competitors had to navigate through dense woods at night using a map and compass while practicing light discipline in what is considered one of the harder events of the competition.
