SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, Calif. (October 18, 2017) Capt. Stan Chien, delivers remarks during a change of command ceremony in which he relieves Capt. David Miller as commander of Coastal Riverine Group (CRG) 1 onboard Naval Auxiliary Landing Field, San Clemente Island (SCI). CRG 1 participates during Exercise DAWN BLITZ 2017 in SCI to augment Expeditionary Advance Base (EAB) operations as an Adaptive Force Package (AFP). CRG provides a core capability to defend designated high value assets throughout the green and blue-water environment and providing deployable AFP worldwide in an integrated, joint and combined theater of operations.
