SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, Calif. (October 18, 2017) Capt. David Miller, delivers remarks during a change of command held onboard Naval Auxiliary Landing Field, San Clemente Island (SCI), Calif. During the ceremony Capt. Stan Chien relieved Miller as commander of Coastal Riverine Group (CRG) 1. CRG 1 participates during Exercise DAWN BLITZ 2017 in SCI to augment Expeditionary Advance Base (EAB) operations as an Adaptive Force Package (AFP). CRG provides a core capability to defend designated high value assets throughout the green and blue-water environment and providing deployable AFP worldwide in an integrated, joint and combined theater of operations.
