    Lt. Col. John Cross, commander of 1st “Vanguard” Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center and an Elk City, Okla., native, pins the Combat Action Badge on 1st Lt. Logan Prestonback, platoon leader with C Company, Special Troops Battalion, 2nd AAB, 1st Inf. Div., USD-C and a Melville, La., native, at Camp Taji, Iraq, March 26. The badge provides recognition to non-infantry Soldiers who personally engage enemy forces in combat or are engaged by an enemy force.
