Arturo River, principal of Matthew C. Perry Elementary School, gives opening remarks during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the M.C. Perry and Iwakuni Elementary Schools at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Oct. 2, 2017. The ceremony celebrated the opening of new facilities used for the elementary schools. Rivera said the buildings are a testament to the commitment of providing the highest quality education to students with the latest technology and state of the art security systems.
