This is an informational graphic from Air Education & Training Command (AETC) explaining the concept of 'On-Command & On-Demand Learning' as part of a Continuum of Learning framework. It describes two types of learning: Air Force-required learning (On-Command) and self-initiated learning (On-Demand), presenting both what they involve and their benefits to Airmen. Air Education and Training Command

On-command is Air Force-required learning to achieve a lever of expertise. On-demand is self-initiated learning Airmen seek out to achieve personal and professional goals.

The Continuum of Learning initiative is a shift to better focus how Airmen learn by integrating education, training and experience in ways that allow them to learn anytime, anywhere throughout their careers. The end goal is to create a culture of lifelong learning. (U.S. Air Force graphic/Staff Sgt. Chip Pons)
