MAYPORT, Fla. (Sept. 19, 2017) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Randall Harmon, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) performs line-handling duties as the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) returns to homeport at Naval Station Mayport, Fla. The ship returns after having completed initial rescue and recovery operations following Hurricane Irma's devastation of the Florida Keys. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
