Marines with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, wait in the passenger terminal here before departing to Naval Air Facility Atsugi in mainland Japan in support of Operation Tomodachi March 16. The proximity of Marine aviation assets at MCAS Futenma has allowed Marines from III MEF to rapidly deploy critically-needed supplies and aid to areas that need it most.
