Congressman Beto O’Rourke, the representative for Texas’ 16th Congressional District in El Paso, and Lt. Col. Malcolm A. Warbrick, who serves as the director of government affairs, Texas Army National Guard, met in Orange, Texas, Sept. 10, 2017, at a point of distribution to greet Soldiers who were handing out supplies to civilians. The two wanted to see for themselves how relief efforts were being handled, and to get a bird's-eye-view of how locals were directly affected by Hurricane Harvey. “I represent the congressional district of Midwest Texas, and we’re out here to thank those who are doing the work,” said O’Rourke. “We’re also meeting with those whose homes have been destroyed to see what we can do to be helpful when we return to congress.”
