U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Eric Neumann, deputy commander for the 245th Civil Engineering Flight, is promoted to the rank of Colonel by his wife and children during a ceremony held at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Sept. 9, 2017. This is the first promotion event that Neumann’s family has been able to attend given that his previous promotions occurred while he was stationed as a Naval officer.
