U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Deborah L. Kotulich, commanding general, 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), speaks with Army Lt. Gen. Charles D. Luckey, commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve, about the 143d ESC’s role in Combat Staff Exercise 17-02 Aug. 18, 2017, in Ft. McCoy, Wis. CSTX was two-week culmination exercise that tested the 143d ESC’s capabilities to provide uninterrupted sustainment operations for more 100 units and 1,800 service members. During his visit to the 143d ESC’s Tactical Operations Center, Luckey emphasized individual Soldier readiness and the Army Reserve’s ‘Fight Fast’ initiative that identifies key units that must be prepared to deploy within 30 days.
