Afghan National Army soldiers with 215th Corps carry a notionally wounded Afghan soldier from an Afghan Air Force Mi-17 to an ambulance during casualty evacuation training at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Aug. 27, 2017. More than 60 soldiers with 7th Special Operations Kandak, 215th Corps completed several casualty scenarios with 215th Corps medics, which required helicopters to extract the injured and transport them to the 215th Corps Hospital. U.S. advisors with various units assisted their Afghan counterparts throughout the training, which allowed for the AAF and ANA to improve their interoperability, refine communications with one another and utilize their four-line CASEVAC request, which is similar to the NATO nine-line procedure.
