Lloyd-Owen took this opportunity to speak about what it means to be a chief petty officer, what it means to serve aboard a warship and future detailing changes. He also met with chief selectees and senior leadership during the visit. Ronald Reagan, the navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
