170821-N-UK248-103 SINGAPORE (Aug. 21, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Elliot Lee, assigned to the engineering department aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), transports a RAMFAN 2000 from the ship’s lower vehicle stowage area to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) following a collision in the Malacca Straits. America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
