Lead machinist Jerry Piper has 35 years experience with Production Plant Barstow, Marine Depot Maintenance Command. He is using a lapping machine to polish a part for a hydrostatic steering unit to fit on the steering assembly for an AAV, Aug. 2. “We have one of the older workforces in at the Plant. That maturity brings experience and knowledge and a strong sense of pride in what we do for the warfighter,” he said.
