Maribel Cano-Meraz, assigned to the 85th Support Command headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois, meets Nick Capra, Chicago White Sox third base coach, during the White Sox vs. Houston Astros game ‘Hero of the Game’ military recognition, there, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Meraz was honored for her service, to include deployments to Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar, in front of an estimated 15,000 spectators in attendance.
