    NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 2, 2017) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate Airman Kassandre Franklin and Aviation Boatswain's Mate Airman Kevin Ulch, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), lower the ensign as Ford shifts colors from the fantail to the mast during preparations to get underway. Ford is currently underway conducting test and evaluation operations.
