Construction Electrician 1st Class Dan Lehne, assigned to Underwater Construction Team 2, runs with Agent Joanico Ximenes of the Timor-Leste National Police during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Timor-Leste 2017 at Port Hera Naval Base, Timor-Leste, Aug. 1, 2017. CARAT is a bilateral exercise series between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of eight partner nations in South and Southeast Asia which contributes to regional security and stability by providing a credible venue to share best practices and practice cooperation in response to shared maritime security challenges.
