Lance Cpl. Adam Hale from 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, cleans up a beach on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, July 28, 2017. Marines said, “We want to leave the beaches better than we found them for the next Marines that come.” Based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, 3/8 is currently forward deployed to 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
