FORT HOOD, Tx (July 20, 2017)— A 7.62mm round belt hangs from the chamber of a M240B machine gun as Spc. Demetrius Billings, intelligence analyst, fires at targets at the machine gun range at Fort Hood, July 24, 2017. Soldiers issued SAWs and M240Bs had to qualify with the weapons by showing proficiency and competency with the weapon. The 135th ESC is currently stationed at Fort Hood to conduct pre-mobilization training to ensure their success when deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
