FORT HOOD, Tx (July 20, 2017)— Soldiers with the 135th ESC count out 5.56mm round belts for their m249 SAW lightweight machine gun at the machine gun range at Fort Hood, July 24, 2017. Soldiers issued SAWs had to qualify with the weapons by showing proficiency and competency with the weapon. The 135th ESC is currently stationed at Fort Hood to conduct pre-mobilization training to ensure their success when deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
