A large military helicopter lies on its side on a gravel/sandy surface in what appears to be a Middle Eastern urban environment. The aircraft has suffered significant damage and is in a crashed or destroyed state, with its tail rotor section separated or detached. At least one person in military-style clothing is standing near the fuselage, apparently inspecting the wreckage.

In October 2008, an aircraft inspector evaluated this wrecked Sikorsky HH-60H Seakhawk damaged during a mishap in Balad, Iraq. Experts at Navy Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, in Jacksonville, Fla., completed repairs in December 2010 and returned the aircraft to HSC-84 in early January. DLA Aviation provided parts support throughout the process. (Photo by Ed Galluccio)
