Pfc. Shane Davenport, a rifleman with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, takes cover behind the corner of a mock Afghan building as his squad takes fire from a nearby building within the village at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 11-12. The training took place as part of infantry immersion training for intermediate location as the reserve infantry battalion prepares for a scheduled deployment to Afghanistan.
