On July 16, a U.S. Army Soldier with the 863rd Military Police Company of the West Virginia National Guard, inspects a piece of thermal night vision equipment that he and his unit will test during the 2017 National Jamboree on Summit Bechtel Reserve near Glen Jean, W.Va. The 2017 National Jamboree is being attended by 30,000 scouts, troop leaders, volunteers and professional staff members, as well as more than 15,000 visitors. Approximately 1,200 military members from the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard are providing logistical support for the event. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Hubert D.
