1st Lt. Scott Wares, platoon leader from the 1st Platoon, Charley Company, 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Infantry Division, works with Iraqi Police and Iraqi Army during a cordon and search in a northwestern neighborhood of Baghdad, Feb. 12. Wares, a native of Orange County, Calif., with the aide of Iraqi Security Forces searched numerous houses and business shops in attempts to find any possible weapon caches.
