SINGAPORE STRAIT (July 6, 2017) U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) Airman Miguel Torres Sandoval, a native of Long Beach, Calif., cleans a catapult system aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), July 6, 2017, in the Singapore Strait. Nimitz is currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
