A fast rescue boat containing rescue personnel and two ship-wrecked German sailors is lifted to the deck of the MT Nord Nightingale as part of an at-sea rescue on July 7. The Nightingale, a Military Sealift Command contracted ship, diverted from their mission of delivering fuel for the U.S. Air Force to perform the mission after receiving a distress call while voyaging from Houston, Texas, to Europe.
