A fast rescue boat transports rescue personnel and two ship-wrecked German sailors back to the MT Nord Nightingale for medical treatment and transit to Florida on July 7. The Nightingale, a Military Sealift Command contracted ship, diverted from their mission of delivering fuel for the U.S. Air Force to perform an at sea rescue mission after receiving a distress call while voyaging from Houston, Texas, to Europe.
