170710-N-LC424-1205 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 10, 2017) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Raymond Varga, a native of Warrenton, Missouri, assigned to operations department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), fires an M240-B machine gun on the ship’s bridge. Pearl Harbor is currently embarked on a scheduled deployment as part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, which is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and Pearl Harbor.
