170710-N-LC424-2150 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 10, 2017) Damage Controlman 1st Class Qiongai Liang, a native of Jiangmen City, China, assigned to engineering department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), supervises as Midshipmen enter a smoke filled space during a damage control exercise in the ship’s damage control office. Pearl Harbor is currently embarked on a scheduled deployment as part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, which is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and Pearl Harbor.
