    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    Two Republic of Korea Marines provides security for U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Ivan Franck (Left) and Lance Cpl. Andres Gomez (Right), both chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialists at Pohang, South Korea, June 30, 2017, during the Korean Marine Exercise Program 17-7. The scenario provided U.S. and ROK Marines with an opportunity to practice detecting and identifying CBRN threats together. KMEP is a continuous bilateral training exercise that promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula and enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance. Gomez is a Los Angeles native, and Franck is from Brooklyn, New York. Both are with 3rd Marine Logistics Group Headquarters Regiment, 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
