Lt. Col. Dan T. Canfield, commanding officer of 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, briefs Gen. James F. Amos, 35th commandant of the Marine Corps, on the progress being made in Musa Qal'eh, Dec. 25. During his visit, Amos commended the Marines on their performance and said "there is no place I'd rather be than with 1st Battalion, 8th Marines today."
