The “What is Your Big Red One Story?” book is written by Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Ret.) Phyllis Fitzgerald, Junction City Mayor and presented to the 100 veterans during a breakfast June 22. The book is a compilation of 100 Veteran stories of former Big Red One 1st Infantry Division Soldiers, who made the Junction City/Geary County area their home after the Army. The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce and Junction City County Military Affairs Council honored the local veterans during the breakfast at the Geary County Convention Center in Junction City, Kansas.
