Fire fighters with the 449th Fire Fighting team use the jaws of life to remove the roof of a vehicle during a simulated fire, while at Vigilant Catamount, an interagency domestic exercise between local, state, and military personnel in North Carolina, at Dupont State Forest, Hendersonville North Carolina, June 8, 2017. Vigilant Catamount is a multi-day exercise testing emergency response, starting with the simulated crash of an F-15 aircraft. The fire fighters helped to extinguish two burning vehicles set ablaze to test military emergency firefighting capabilities.
