    170605-N-LC424-1651 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 5, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Nicholas Pando, an Orlando native, assigned to the Swift Intruders of Assault Craft Unit 5, aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), repairs a windshield wiper blade of a landing craft, air cushion in the ship’s well deck. Pearl Harbor is currently underway, conducting a Certification Exercise (CERTEX) as part of the third and final phase of qualifications for their upcoming deployment. The America Amphibious Ready Group is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and Pearl Harbor.
