A group of men gathered outdoors in what appears to be a developing urban area, with one lighter-skinned man wearing sunglasses and a khaki shirt pointing or gesturing in a specific direction. Several other men are gathered around him, some also pointing or looking in the same direction, suggesting a discussion or assessment of something in the environment. The background shows concrete block buildings with corrugated and thatched roofing under a partly cloudy sky.

Maritime Civil Affairs and Security Training Command personnel work with local nationals during a recent mission to the Union of Comoros. Engaging local nationals during any civic assistance activity is essential to the success of such operations and was the subject of military-to-military training delivered to Comoros security forces as part of the larger Maritime Civil Affairs mission.
