Lance Cpl. Stedji Legros conducts a patrol at Jungle Warfare Training Center, Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, May 17, 2017. The unit patrolled through the woods, conducted medical evacuations and assaulted enemy villages during their 12-day training iteration. The training prepares them for their upcoming deployment to Thailand and the Philippines in support of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training multilateral exercise. Legros, a Newark, New Jersey native, is a rifleman with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment and is assigned to 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, through the unit deployment program.
