Gunnery Sgt. Chris Phillips from the Death Rattlers of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 323 performs pull-ups in celebration of the U.S. Marine Corps 235th birthday in the Seaside Gym of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Completing the corresponding year’s worth of pull-ups, push-ups, crunches and squats is a long-standing Marine Corps tradition and a unique way of honoring the Marine Corps. VMFA-323 is currently embarked aboard Ronald Reagan completing a Composite Training Unit Exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
