David Kovach, a Chinook crew chief serving in Iraq with the Enhanced Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, sits on the tail ramp of his aircraft during a mission in the Baghdad area, Nov. 5. Kovach and other crew chiefs in the brigade have been flying nonstop during operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn, moving nearly 90,000 personnel, 4 million pounds of cargo, and flying over 15,000 flight hours since this March.
