A soldier with the Missouri Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 138th Infantry Regiment, takes aim at a short-range target during close-quarters marksmanship training Nov. 4 at Camp Kami-Furano, Japan, during Orient Shield 11. The 10-day exercise is a bilateral event meant to improve interoperability between the two nations. The U.S and Japan are celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security, signed in January of 1960.
